Jorge Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Viana in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes, Alberto Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gramatinha and the Almancil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Almancil FC booed when SC Gramatinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristóvão Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Brás hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Xavier Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. SC Gramatinha's Vicente Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Paulo Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Viana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to SC Gramatinha getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eduardo Carvalho hit a great ball. Jorge Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After having played for 28 minutes, João Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gramatinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Xavier Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Gramatinha booed when Almancil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Azevedo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xavier Queirós saved Almancil FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Vicente Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Gramatinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Vicente Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Azevedo made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Joaquim Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gramatinha and the Almancil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes SC Gramatinha got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Santos. If Cristóvão Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Viana in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Antunes saved SC Gramatinha from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, João Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gramatinha's supporters rose to their feet, but João Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Joaquim Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Vicente Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Andrade's late challenge caught a SC Gramatinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. Filipe Andrade hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. João Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Xavier Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, SC Gramatinha's Eduardo Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xavier Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Paulo Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almancil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Viana went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. SC Gramatinha's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
