Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Matanca FC's João Morais started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Cândido Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sancheira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cândido Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Cândido Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matanca FC's Jorge Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If João Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Matanca FC's João Morais got a free kick in the 17th minute. João Morais hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jorge Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Sá in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Bruno Branco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Vale skillfully saved the ball. Sancheira's Sérgio Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Morais in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Sancheira getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Álvaro Domingues hit a great ball. Sérgio Vale made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Pedro Brás sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Vale was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Pedro Brás capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Brás really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sancheira's goalkeeper Sérgio Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Pedro Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd match minute, Sancheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Borges to maneuver through the defense. Luís Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Brito to make the kick off. Sancheira's Sérgio Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Morais in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Sancheira's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Brás came free, but Sérgio Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rui Brito came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Matanca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Brito couldn't finish the play. Pedro Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cândido Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jorge Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sancheira's José Brito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Lopes. That made the score 1-1 after 79 minutes of play. Jorge Lopes made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cândido Sá sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Matanca FC's zone, Cândido Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Lopes came out of the goal and Cândido Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cândido Sá in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Cândido Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If José Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Pedro Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
