Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gaifar's Tomás Mendes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Mendes in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Brás saved Linhares from getting behind. In the 8th minute Gaifar were awarded a corner. Artur Matos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Artur Matos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Linhares's André Brás did a great save. André Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Gaspar in the 9th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, António Domingues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Resende. António Domingues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 19 played minutes Linhares got a freekick which was hit by António Domingues. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Assis during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, one of Gaifar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. André Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Miranda in the 34th minute of play. If Artur Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Domingues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gaifar booed when Linhares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Matos, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. André Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Mendes in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Linhares defense, Tomás Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Brás. The Linhares fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Brás should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Miranda was the one to do the kick off. Gaifar's Tomás Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pedro Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes Gaifar got a freekick which was hit by José Mendes. André Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Linhares's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaifar the free kick. A collision led to Linhares getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Vasco Aleixo hit a great ball. Pedro Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. André Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gaifar's zone, Manuel Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Resende came out of the goal and Manuel Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linhares's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
