Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hélder Ramos took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, SC Ardegao's Carlos Rocha got control of the ball when João Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adelino Rocha's late challenge caught a Barriga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, SC Ardegao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Rocha to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Ardegao getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Adelino Rocha hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barriga fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Gaspar Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Viana having to interfere. Barriga's Joaquim Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Carvalho in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Barriga got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Torres. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Ramos in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sérgio Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Joaquim Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Carlos Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Ramos in the 30th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Barriga got a freekick which was hit by João Pinheiro. 36 minutes into the match, Barriga's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Carvalho came free, but Joaquim Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Carlos Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sérgio Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. Sérgio Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Joaquim Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ardegao. Carlos Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Castro in the 57th minute of the match. After 58 minutes, Gaspar Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ardegao and the Barriga players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Barriga booed when SC Ardegao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Viana made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Fernando Silva sent off a good shot on target. SC Ardegao's Sérgio Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Sérgio Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ardegao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, João Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Barriga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Ramos to maneuver through the defense. João Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Sérgio Carvalho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Joaquim Viana was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If João Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Castro went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Barriga's Joaquim Viana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Barriga from getting a goal against them. After having played for 95 minutes, Sérgio Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ardegao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
