Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Cascalhal FC's Vicente Esteves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Santana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Viana to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Delgado hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes of play, Santana FC's Cristiano Figueiredo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, Cascalhal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Figueiredo came free, but Rogério Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santana FC's Rodrigo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Esteves in the 25th minute of play. Basílio Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Fernandes having to interfere. Rogério Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Gomes in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes Cascalhal FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Fontes. 33 minutes into the game, Basílio Delgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cascalhal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santana FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cascalhal FC's Basílio Delgado got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Rodrigo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. David Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rogério Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fábio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Cascalhal FC's Rogério Fonseca got control of the ball when David Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match, Cristiano Figueiredo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rogério Fonseca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

If Vicente Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Manuel Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cascalhal FC the free kick. After 53 played minutes Santana FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Garcia. A collision led to Cascalhal FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Basílio Delgado hit a great ball. When Santana FC's Manuel Garcia in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cascalhal FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jorge Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Fernandes having to interfere. If Cristiano Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rogério Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. After 80 played minutes Cascalhal FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Delgado. Vicente Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Figueiredo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Fonseca. Rogério Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. David Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Fonseca having to interfere. Cascalhal FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
