After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Rodrigo Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neiral's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 10 minutes, Emanuel Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taboadela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Eusébio Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Leal in the 30th minute of play forced Neiral's goalkeeper Hélder Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Gueifão hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Taboadela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eusébio Moreira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Moreira made a kick off. Albertino Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Correia having to interfere. If Eusébio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neiral's Hélder Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Santos in the 60th minute of play.
