André Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Vaz in the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Agucadoira FC booed when Montijos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Alfredo Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agucadoira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montijos FC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Agucadoira FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Matos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Castro in the 14th minute of play forced Agucadoira FC's goalkeeper Lucas Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Vaz in the 17th minute of play forced Montijos FC's goalkeeper André Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Montijos FC's Raul Magalhães got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Montijos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Vaz came free, but André Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Garcia having to interfere. In the 44th minute Paulo Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Vaz in the 45th minute of play forced Montijos FC's goalkeeper André Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Armando Santos made the kick off in the second half. If Amílcar Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lucas Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Castro struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Lucas Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montijos FC. If Hugo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lucas Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Vaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but André Garcia made a huge save. Montijos FC's André Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Montijos FC from getting a goal against them.
