When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Filipe Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Afonso Marques to make any attempt to save it. After 8 played minutes, Almoriz's Raul Costa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Catarino Gonçalves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almoriz reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Almeida in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Catarino Gonçalves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Doncemil FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Joaquim Freitas hit a great ball. Jorge Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Filipe Andrade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Afonso Marques, 2-0. After some careless play in the Doncemil FC defense, Lourenço Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Catarino Gonçalves. The Doncemil FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Catarino Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Doncemil FC booed when Almoriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almoriz's Afonso Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Almoriz from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Catarino Moutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doncemil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filipe Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Doncemil FC's Catarino Gonçalves got control of the ball when Jorge Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Catarino Gonçalves was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the game's 58th minute Doncemil FC's João Nogueira took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Afonso Marques and thus the score was 4-1. If Filipe Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Jorge Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almoriz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Alexandre Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Almoriz's Afonso Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Moutinho in the 71st minute of play. Jorge Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Catarino Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Alexandre Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almoriz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79thth minute of the game Catarino Moutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almoriz's Afonso Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Andrade in the 81st minute of play forced Almoriz's goalkeeper Afonso Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catarino Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Almeida's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Catarino Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Doncemil FC's goalkeeper Catarino Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Almoriz players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Doncemil FC.
