The supporters of Ramalhoza booed when Sabuzedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Mário Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramalhoza's Bruno Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Barros in the 17th minute of play. Mário Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bruno Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Alberto Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute Mário Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Barros in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Mário Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Azevedo. Ramalhoza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, Sabuzedo's goalkeeper André Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Setúbal. Ramalhoza's Bruno Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Barros in the 42nd minute of play. Sabuzedo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Manuel Fernandes scored to the left of an out of position André Nunes, making the score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Soares to make the kick off. Alberto Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Ramalhoza's Emílio Jesus got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes in the game, Mário Nascimento fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bruno Azevedo having to interfere. If Alberto Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute Mário Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Azevedo having to make a save. Many of Sabuzedo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sabuzedo may have spent more time on the ball, but Ramalhoza were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
