When Diamantino Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SC Capinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Freitas couldn't finish the play. If David Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes SC Capinha got a freekick which was hit by Joel Amorim. David Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 31st match minute, SC Capinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bento Pinto to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 54 minutes, Nuno Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercador FC's David Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but David Faro made a huge save. David Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. David Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercador FC. David Rodrigues did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised David Faro 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to SC Capinha getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gonçalo Lima hit a great ball. Mercador FC's Jorge Assis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by David Faro but with some difficulty. Fernando Coimbra's late challenge caught a SC Capinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Afonso Borba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bento Nogueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Afonso Azevedo scored 0-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Faro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bento Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mercador FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Domingos Ribeiro hit a great ball. If Gaspar Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gaspar Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Capinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bento Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The SC Capinha supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mercador FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Mercador FC.
