When Fernando Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montezinho's protests and gave Fernando Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the match, Daniel Magalhães notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Montezinho's Delfim Soares. Delfim Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastião Miranda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Quintiaes's Domingos Cruz got a free kick in the 40th minute. A collision led to Montezinho getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jorge Pires hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the game, Rafael Amaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Quintiaes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montezinho the free kick. Rafael Amaro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Daniel Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Soares having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Martins made a kick off. Jorge Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delfim Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Montezinho's David Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrique Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Delfim Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Daniel Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Quintiaes's Henrique Cruz got control of the ball when Jorge Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henrique Cruz came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Montezinho's David Martins. But to his dismay, David Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. David Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Henrique Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute of the match Filipe Leal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delfim Soares skillfully saved the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Rafael Amaro notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Montezinho's Delfim Soares. Delfim Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If David Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Montezinho's Nuno Pedroso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henrique Cruz. Henrique Cruz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Henrique Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Martins in the 95th minute.
