The referee ignored Brunhos FC's protests and gave Jaime Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brunhos FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jaime Antunes hit a great ball. Raul Guerreiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaspar Coimbra having to make a save. Gaspar Coimbra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raul Guerreiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. After 17 minutes, Artur Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brunhos FC and the Moaz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Moaz FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. António Faro hit a great ball. Moaz FC's José Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brunhos FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Coimbra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 50th minute of the match Brunhos FC got a corner. Moaz FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Américo Viana ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Paredes to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Rui Dantas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Emílio Trindade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raul Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaspar Coimbra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Joaquim Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brunhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A nice corner shot did that Américo Viana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emílio Trindade quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Brunhos FC's Rui Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emílio Trindade. That made the score 1-2 after 96 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brunhos FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
