The supporters of SC Estrada booed when Valinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ricardo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Fernandes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Abreu having to make a save. Tiago Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Anjos in the 16th minute of play. SC Estrada's Heitor Gaspar suffered a concussion in the 19th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Rodrigo Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Valinhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Fernandes. António Ramos hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes, Valinhas FC's Lourenço Ferro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiago Abreu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valinhas FC reached it. In the 27th match minute, SC Estrada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Henriques to maneuver through the defense. Cândido Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Mendes having to interfere. If António Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Estrada's Cândido Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Fernandes in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Anjos was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Simão Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lucas Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Valinhas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Anjos couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, SC Estrada's Cândido Gomes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rodrigo Fernandes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Tiago Abreu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Valinhas FC's Rodrigo Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Lucas Anjos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valinhas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Anjos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SC Estrada were victorious despite being under pressure from Valinhas FC for much of the match.
