Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Barbeitos's Cláudio Leal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Heitor Morais's late challenge caught a Barbeitos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heitor Morais helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute of the match Américo Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lourenço Fontes skillfully saved the ball. Cláudio Leal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Fontes having to make a save. Manuel Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Fontes having to interfere. A collision led to Chozendo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nuno Teixeira hit a great ball. Cláudio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lourenço Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Vaz's late challenge caught a Barbeitos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. Lúcio Vaz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Barbeitos's Américo Martins couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chozendo. After a rather tough play, Chozendo's Lúcio Vaz got a free kick in the 25th minute. During the 28th minute of the match Lúcio Vaz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lúcio Vaz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 32 minutes, Amadeu Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barbeitos and the Chozendo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Amadeu Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 34 minutes, Cláudio Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbeitos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lourenço Fontes. Chozendo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cláudio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lourenço Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Chozendo got a freekick which was hit by António Baptista.
The wind increased when Afonso Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Macedo in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lourenço Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 53 played minutes Barbeitos got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Macedo. Afonso Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Afonso Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chozendo's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th match minute, Barbeitos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Brás to maneuver through the defense. Cláudio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Fontes having to interfere. Afonso Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barbeitos's zone, Afonso Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Vale came out of the goal and Afonso Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Afonso Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chozendo's zone, Eusébio Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Fontes came out of the goal and Eusébio Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Queirós's late challenge caught a Barbeitos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barbeitos booed when Chozendo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lourenço Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Nascimento got free with Sérgio Vale in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Barbeitos players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
