Gonçalo Andrade started the match with the kick off. Vais's Gaspar Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Santos in the 7th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Vais got a freekick which was hit by José Dantas. Duarte Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Martinchel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Torres to maneuver through the defense. Vais's Vítor Gomes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Eduardo Figueiredo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Duarte Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Lisboa having to interfere. When Duarte Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Martinchel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Vais's Gaspar Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Ribeiro in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Martinchel's Gaspar Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Lisboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Duarte Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaspar Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Rogério Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Gonçalo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martinchel's Eduardo Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Gomes in the 72nd minute of play. Jacinto Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gonçalo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vais fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Vais's Vítor Gomes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the match, Martinchel's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Andrade came free, but Eduardo Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaspar Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Ribeiro in the 89th minute of play. Gonçalo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Figueiredo having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vais fans cheered their team off the field, for while Martinchel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
