Miguel Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Luz in the 9th minute of the match. Miguel Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Luz in the 11th minute of play. Cláudio Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexandre Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Rogério Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Viduedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emílio Luz struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Miguel Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Viduedo. In the 38th minute, Manuel Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Aleixo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Nuno Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abecao. 46 minutes into the match, SC Viduedo's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Aleixo came free, but Nuno Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Aleixo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of SC Viduedo booed when Abecao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Heitor Cardoso hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Emílio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Pereira in the 91st minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
