Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hélder Pires made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Armando Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Barbosa, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alexandre Coimbra's late challenge caught a Pico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Zedes getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alexandre Coimbra hit a great ball. The long shot by Manuel Barbosa in the 11th minute really tested Tomás Viana's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tomás Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Pico's Paulo Vieira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Manuel Barbosa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Lourenço Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Pico's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Gaspar came free, but Tomás Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Assunção didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Pires went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 45 minutes, Armando Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Zedes and the Pico players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Zedes getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Armando Dias hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Nuno Castro made the kick off in the second half. Tomás Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Pires in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Paulo Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Zedes getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Alexandre Coimbra hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pico's Manuel Barbosa got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Eduardo Vaz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Assunção skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Tomás Gaspar could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Tomás Assunção however easily saved by the left post. Tomás Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Castro in the 63rd minute of the match. Pico's Nuno Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pico booed when SC Zedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tomás Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Vieira in the 76th minute of play forced SC Zedes's goalkeeper Tomás Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pico's zone, Tomás Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Assunção came out of the goal and Tomás Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, Pico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Pires to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Vieira's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Pico fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Zedes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
