Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when José Gonçalves got the match started through his kick off. When José Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Fridao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mugideira getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Miguel Trindade hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Fridao's Raul Coimbra broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mugideira's goalkeeper Pedro Pacheco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, José Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fridao's supporters rose to their feet, but José Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Pacheco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Mugideira booed when Fridao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Marques scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Anjos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Barros in the 66th minute of play forced Fridao's goalkeeper Bernardo Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
