The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristóvão Rodrigues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Coimbra in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Machado saved SC Sanfins from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Pinho in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristóvão Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emílio Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, SC Sanfins's Lúcio Machado got control of the ball when Miguel Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Óscar Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Machado having to interfere. Lúcio Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Rodrigues in the 28th minute. SC Sanfins's Emílio Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 minutes, Nuno Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Sanfins and the Bunheiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno Neto hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Óscar Coimbra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Coimbra in the 48th minute of play forced SC Sanfins's goalkeeper Lúcio Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 55th minute, Emílio Marques fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 59th minute, SC Sanfins's Pedro Pinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristóvão Rodrigues. Cristóvão Rodrigues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Lúcio Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Rodrigues in the 65th minute of the match. Emílio Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute of the match Oliveira Marques sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Machado skillfully saved the ball. Óscar Coimbra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, SC Sanfins's goal looked a bit too open when Óscar Coimbra came free, but Lúcio Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Marques received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristóvão Rodrigues came out and tried to block the shot, but Emílio Marques slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the SC Sanfins defense, Miguel Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Machado. The SC Sanfins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Machado should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Bunheiro FC's zone, Emílio Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Rodrigues came out of the goal and Emílio Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélder Brás hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. SC Sanfins's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
