Augusto Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Miguel Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunheiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Francisco Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunheiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maiorga the free kick. A collision led to Bunheiro FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Francisco Ribeiro hit a great ball. Fábio Andrade was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heitor Melo got free with Cristóvão Rodrigues in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Heitor Melo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Maiorga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Melo couldn't finish the play. Eduardo Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Maiorga's Ricardo Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Coimbra in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maiorga's zone, Miguel Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Gaspar came out of the goal and Miguel Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Heitor Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricardo Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bunheiro FC. Cristiano Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maiorga.
