Miguel Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Viriato Leiria fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bicos's protests and gave Viriato Leiria a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bunheiro FC booed when Bicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Leiria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Óscar Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Bunheiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Marques. After 23 played minutes, Bicos's André Moutinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristóvão Rodrigues came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bicos reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Antunes in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristóvão Rodrigues saved Bunheiro FC from getting behind. Cristóvão Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Trindade in the 31st minute of play. Cristóvão Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute.
