Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Augusto Moreira got the match started through his kick off. In the 4thth minute of the game Carlos Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sevivas's Alexandre Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Espinheiro getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cristiano Coimbra hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Porto got free with Tomás Guarda in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cruz in the 10th minute of play forced Sevivas's goalkeeper Alexandre Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sevivas's Cristiano Barros got a free kick in the 13th minute. Carlos Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Oliveira Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sevivas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinheiro the free kick. Oliveira Carvalho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Carlos Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Monteiro. Sevivas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alexandre Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Bento Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espinheiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sevivas the free kick. The supporters of Sevivas booed when Espinheiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Guarda in the 34th minute of play. Espinheiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Augusto Moreira scored to the left of an out of position Tomás Guarda, making the score, 1-1. Carlos Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Carlos Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Carlos Cruz made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sevivas's Alexandre Monteiro got control of the ball when Pedro Guarda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Monteiro having to interfere. Alexandre Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Cruz in the 69th minute of the match. Catarino Santos hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Alexandre Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Carlos Cruz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 85 minutes into the match, Espinheiro's Carlos Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Espinheiro's Tomás Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Porto in the 88th minute of play. After 88 minutes, José Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Espinheiro and the Sevivas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Espinheiro's José Baptista got a free kick in the 88th minute. Augusto Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Guarda having to interfere. The Espinheiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
