Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carrical FC's Luís Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Castrelos's Delfim Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Aguiar in the 3rd minute of play. Humberto Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Faro having to interfere. Vítor Matos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim Veiga. SC Castrelos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Francisco Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Castrelos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Aguiar in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Veiga saved SC Castrelos from getting behind. The supporters of SC Castrelos booed when Carrical FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute Luís Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Castrelos defense, Gonçalo Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Veiga. The SC Castrelos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Veiga should have stopped the shot. Gonçalo Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Delfim Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Valente to make the kick off. It was Emanuel Pinheiro who took care of the corner kick. Delfim Veiga was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vítor Matos. Delfim Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Aguiar in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, SC Castrelos's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Aguiar came free, but Delfim Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Mendes struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Delfim Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carrical FC. Delfim Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carrical FC's Gonçalo Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delfim Veiga having to make a save. If Luís Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gonçalo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Castrelos's Delfim Veiga got control of the ball when Luís Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Carrical FC booed when SC Castrelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Castrelos's Delfim Veiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Castrelos from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Castrelos's goalkeeper Delfim Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
