But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Óscar Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, SC Lanhoso's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Vale came free, but Vicente Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murganhal's Augusto Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Silva in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Luís Silva made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Silva in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Moutinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Moutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luís Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adelino Lopes during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Murganhal getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Adelino Lopes hit a great ball. Armando Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murganhal's Augusto Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Silva in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Murganhal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Mendes to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Luís Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Moutinho in the 81st minute of the match. Joaquim Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Luís Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Moutinho. Murganhal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Artur Melo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Vicente Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murganhal.
