João Resende made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Bernardo Assis sent off a good shot on target. If João Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th match minute, Palmeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. João Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Palmeira's Vasco Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Almofrela FC's Vítor Almeida got a free kick in the 15th minute. João Nascimento took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Esteves. Pedro Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. João Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Esteves having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Bernardo Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Assis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Brás struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Pedro Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almofrela FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, João Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almofrela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Palmeira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Almofrela FC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Xavier Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Lima tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Pedro Esteves. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-3 in the 56th minute. Almofrela FC's João Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Pereira's late challenge caught a Almofrela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Alexandre Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 74 minutes, Xavier Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almofrela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 played minutes Palmeira got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Vieira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Freitas in the 84th minute of play forced Almofrela FC's goalkeeper João Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pedro Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Figueiredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Esteves having to make a save. João Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Pedro Esteves made a huge save. If Xavier Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
