SC Carragosela's Hugo Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Jesus in the 18th minute of play. Pedro Veiga hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Jesus in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Jesus in the 29th minute of play forced SC Carragosela's goalkeeper Hugo Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adelino Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Carragosela's Alexandre Reis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paulo Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Adelino Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
