Simão Ramos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gabriel Amaral firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Jaime Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Jaime Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Matos in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Lisboa in the 24th minute of play forced Chocas FC's goalkeeper Vasco Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Matos in the 31st minute of play forced Chavelhas's goalkeeper Gabriel Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, João Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gabriel Amaral. Chocas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Vasco Silva managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Chavelhas's Rodrigo Aleixo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Simão Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Simão Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th match minute, Chavelhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Matos in the 78th minute of the match. Chavelhas's Gabriel Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Matos in the 81st minute of play. In the 87th minute, Rui Lisboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alexandre Leal fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chocas FC's protests and gave Alexandre Leal a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasco Silva made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Rodrigo Aleixo sent off a good shot on target. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
