Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Mota kicked off to start the match. Rodrigo Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Luís Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Aleixo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Luís Correia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 15 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Aleixo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Luís Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Albertino Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Bessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Daniel Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Amaral having to interfere. If Daniel Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Daniel Mota made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chavelhas's Gabriel Amaral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rui Lisboa might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Lisboa ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Aleixo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Luís Correia made a huge save. Gabriel Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Mota in the 38th minute of play. When Duarte Moniz fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chavelhas's protests and gave Duarte Moniz a yellow card for diving instead. Duarte Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Daniel Mota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Amaral having to make a save. If Rui Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Lisboa to make the kick off. SC Portelinha's Luís Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Monteiro in the 52nd minute of play. Rodrigo Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Luís Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rui Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Chavelhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Lisboa couldn't finish the play. Rafael Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Lisboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Chavelhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Francisco Pinheiro in the 68th minute really tested Gabriel Amaral's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Albertino Monteiro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Luís Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When Rui Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Chavelhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Lisboa couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Rui Lisboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chavelhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chavelhas's zone, Rafael Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Amaral came out of the goal and Rafael Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Chavelhas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rafael Bessa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. SC Portelinha's Rafael Bessa got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chavelhas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
