Pedro Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Dias in the 16th minute of the match. If Bruno Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Paulo Resende came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Donalda's José Castro. But to his dismay, José Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. SC Donalda's Pedro Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Dias in the 27th minute of play. Adelino Teixeira got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Bento Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Paulo Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Machado scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Resende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bento Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. José Castro's late challenge caught a SC Chaveirinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Donalda's José Castro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Pedro Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Oliveira Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SC Donalda booed when SC Chaveirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Bento Machado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to SC Chaveirinha getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mariano Carneiro hit a great ball. Daniel Amorim hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Francisco Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Guarda having to interfere. SC Chaveirinha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Bento Machado scored to the left of an out of position Paulo Resende, making the score, 0-3. In the 79th match minute, SC Chaveirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes SC Donalda got a freekick which was hit by José Castro. When Bruno Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the SC Chaveirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Araújo couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, SC Donalda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Amorim to maneuver through the defense. When Bruno Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Chaveirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Araújo couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Donalda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
