Curraleira FC's Artur Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Guarda having to interfere. If Amílcar Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Guarda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amílcar Ferro's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Bento Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Mota having to interfere. Pedro Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Donalda's zone, Artur Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Guarda came out of the goal and Artur Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Castro made a kick off. Artur Melo came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Guarda could save by the left post. In the 59th minute, Bento Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Ferro in the 61st minute of play. José Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Adelino Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Castro in the 73rd minute of the match. Amílcar Ferro hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Bento Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Curraleira FC booed when SC Donalda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Guarda having to interfere. Bento Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 93 minutes into the match, José Castro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Curraleira FC's Adelino Mota. Adelino Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Curraleira FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
