The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Domingos Luz could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Mariano Faro however easily saved by the left post. Óscar Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jorge Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Leal in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingos Luzs short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Mariano Faro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes into the match, Porteirinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Leal came free, but Jorge Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Viana's late challenge caught a Gateira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Viana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gateira booed when Porteirinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Heitor Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
