When Paulo Campos came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Atalho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Campos couldn't finish the play. If Paulo Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamegal FC's Manuel Assis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Santos in the 22nd minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atalho FC's goalkeeper Manuel Domingues, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If David Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the game, Albertino Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atalho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamegal FC the free kick. Albertino Amaral hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Fábio Paiva in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Domingues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Atalho FC's Manuel Domingues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Atalho FC from getting a goal against them. When Cristóvão Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atalho FC's protests and gave Cristóvão Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Porto was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Atalho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Paiva came free, but Manuel Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Atalho FC's Pedro Cunha seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedro Cunha the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atalho FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedro Cunha had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 58 minutes into the game, one of Atalho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Manuel Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lamegal FC had won after a very even match.
