Gavinhos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rouqueira the free kick. Xavier Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Rouqueira's Rogério Moreira got a free kick in the 31st minute. Jorge Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Moniz in the 32nd minute of play. Oliveira Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Moniz in the 35th minute of play forced Rouqueira's goalkeeper Jorge Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Rouqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Moniz came free, but Jorge Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes, Oliveira Henriques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rouqueira and the Gavinhos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Rouqueira got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Henriques. Jorge Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Xavier Pires hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

In the 62nd minute Xavier Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
