After a defensive mix-up in Montarroio FC's zone, Daniel Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Moutinho came out of the goal and Daniel Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes SC Porfia got a freekick which was hit by Américo Sá. Francisco Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Afonso Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, SC Porfia's goal looked a bit too open when José Fernandes came free, but Afonso Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When António Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the SC Porfia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Baptista couldn't finish the play. After having played for 18 minutes, António Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Porfia's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. António Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Maia in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 played minutes Montarroio FC got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Lopes. Daniel Araújo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. António Moutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Porfia. After 41 played minutes Montarroio FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Maia. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Gomes during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Américo Sá missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 47 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the António Moutinho right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Maia made a kick off. Afonso Luz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when José Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, António Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Araújo in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Moutinho saved Montarroio FC from getting behind. António Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Moutinho having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Montarroio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Araújo came free, but António Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Porfia's Afonso Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save SC Porfia from getting a goal against them. After 80 minutes, Américo Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Porfia and the Montarroio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Américo Sá hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. António Moutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Montarroio FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Porfia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
