Mariano Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Moreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vergas FC's Mariano Moreira got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, Joaquim Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amadeu Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raul Lisboa in the 13th minute. A collision led to Rendufinho FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Carlos Brás hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Daniel Moreira made a precise shot to the right of João Carvalho. Vergas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 21st minute, Raul Moutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vergas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Rendufinho FC's Amadeu Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Rendufinho FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Raul Moutinho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 31 minutes into the game, Raul Moutinho lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Amadeu Antunes. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Raul Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Lisboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Vergas FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. David Matos hit a great ball. Amadeu Antunes made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Raul Lisboa sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Daniel Moreira made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Rendufinho FC's Daniel Moreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Carvalho. João Carvalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Raul Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Raul Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Amadeu Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Moutinho in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Antunes saved Rendufinho FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Raul Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vergas FC's goalkeeper João Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Moreira in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Raul Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Henrique Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Bento Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the game, Daniel Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rendufinho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vergas FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rendufinho FC's Daniel Moreira got a free kick in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rendufinho FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
