When Vítor Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Alpedriz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Freitas couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Emílio Torres took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Emanuel Brás to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Alpedriz booed when SC Pomaraco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Freitas struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Emanuel Brás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alpedriz. Humberto Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, SC Pomaraco's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Freitas came free, but Emanuel Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Pomaraco's Emanuel Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Freitas in the 30th minute of play. Manuel Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasco Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Gomes having to interfere. If Manuel Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Emanuel Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Sousa in the 41st minute of the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alpedriz's goalkeeper Humberto Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vítor Freitas made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Manuel Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pomaraco's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Assis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute of the match, Cláudio Leal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Humberto Gomes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Vasco Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Gomes having to interfere. 66 minutes in the game, Manuel Assis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Humberto Gomes having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SC Pomaraco's Manuel Assis in the 76th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Humberto Gomes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Alpedriz through an amazing save. Humberto Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasco Sousa in the 78th minute. Manuel Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Pomaraco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Manuel Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Gomes made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Vasco Sousa sent off a good shot on target.
