Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bento Paredes started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Tiago Esteves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canhestres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petisgueira the free kick. Tiago Esteves hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Brás in the 10th minute of play forced Petisgueira's goalkeeper Fábio Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Andrade got free with Henrique Gaspar in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, Oliveira Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Figueiredo. Petisgueira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliveira Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Duarte Cruz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Vítor Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Bento Paredes took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Henrique Gaspar to make any attempt to save it. Vítor Andrade succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 47th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cândido Brás to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrique Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Andrade in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Bento Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canhestres's goalkeeper Henrique Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fábio Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bento Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Henrique Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, João Anjos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petisgueira and the Canhestres players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Canhestres booed when Petisgueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Cruz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Cândido Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Cruz during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Canhestres's Duarte Cruz got a free kick in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Paredes in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Gaspar saved Canhestres from getting behind. Oliveira Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Fábio Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Canhestres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
