In the 29thth minute of the game Cristóvão Trindade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cilhade's Augusto Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cilhade's zone, Cristóvão Trindade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Santos came out of the goal and Cristóvão Trindade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Augusto Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Cilhade's Sandro Assis tried to score from far away in the 50th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After the first half Cilhade were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Trindade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Trindade took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Santos. Augusto Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. André Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Trindade in the 63rd minute of the match. When Duarte Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cilhade's protests and gave Duarte Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Duarte Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70thth minute of the game Cândido Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salgueiro FC's Alexandre Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, André Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Trindade in the 80th minute of play. Artur Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th play minute Artur Bessa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alexandre Carneiro. 1-2. André Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Augusto Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cilhade supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cilhade would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
