The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Delfim Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Rafael Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Castro in the 7th minute of the match. Delfim Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Delfim Miranda hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rafael Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 16 played minutes Peroleite FC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Castro. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Pinho during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cachave's Carlos Pinho got a free kick in the 20th minute. Joel Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Peroleite FC's Rafael Bessa threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Viriato Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Cachave getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bento Maia hit a great ball. Bento Torres was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cachave's zone, Joel Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Bessa came out of the goal and Joel Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joel Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Cachave getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gaspar Nunes hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Joel Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cachave's Humberto Branco got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Castro in the 60th minute of play forced Cachave's goalkeeper Rafael Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Castro in the 65th minute of play. The Cachave fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Bessa should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Peroleite FC's Viriato Costa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Joel Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Bessa having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play Cachave's Carlos Pinho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After having played for 91 minutes, Sebastião Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peroleite FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cachave's zone, Sebastião Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Bessa came out of the goal and Sebastião Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastião Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peroleite FC fully deserved thier win.
