Tabua's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tiago Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Andrade in the 17th minute. Gaspar Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Gueifão having to interfere. If Eusébio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Eiro's goalkeeper Tiago Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Andrade. The Eiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alexandre Gueifão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Eiro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gaspar Lima made the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Lima in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Tabua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Matias to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Emílio Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Gueifão made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Humberto Bessa sent off a good shot on target. Humberto Bessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Alexandre Gueifão made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Lima in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Gueifão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 minutes, Joel Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eiro and the Tabua players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joel Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. During the 77th minute of the match Joel Moura completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Joel Moura a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 78th match minute, Eiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Moura to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Borba was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
