Raul Faria was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaspar Lima showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Adolfo Pinho hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. António Marques's late challenge caught a Alfaquiques FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Marques helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Eiro getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. António Marques hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Eiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alfaquiques FC:s goal. Tiago Pinheiro went to the wrong direction when Manuel Castro was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tiago Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Alfaquiques FC booed when Eiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfaquiques FC's António Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute António Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If António Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tiago Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Alfaquiques FC's António Garcia. But to his dismay, António Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

António Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Pinheiro having to interfere. If António Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Marques hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to Eiro getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. António Marques hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Coelho during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Gaspar Lima came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Eiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Lima couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Alfaquiques FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Lima came free, but Raul Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Lima in the 82nd minute of play. When Humberto Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Eiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Bessa couldn't finish the play. In the 85thth minute of the game Humberto Bessa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alfaquiques FC's Raul Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Alfaquiques FC booed when Eiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Matias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when António Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Eiro's António Marques got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered António Marques off the ground. In the 95th minute, António Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Heitor Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
