Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Vilas's goalkeeper Nuno Setúbal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amílcar Matias. Tomás Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Setúbal having to interfere. With a little luck, Vilas's Nuno Setúbal got control of the ball when Amílcar Matias tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Abel Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute of the match Emanuel Amorim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Delgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Vilas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Figueiredo came free, but Nuno Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Masgalos booed when Vilas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Nuno Setúbal made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Amílcar Matias sent off a good shot on target. Tomás Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Nuno Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Masgalos. In the 31st minute, Jaime Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 34 minutes, Abel Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Catarino Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Paulo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Vilas's Jorge Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, SC Masgalos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Mota to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Vilas defense, Tomás Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Setúbal. The Vilas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Setúbal should have stopped the shot. Abel Brás struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Paulo Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilas. After a defensive mix-up in SC Masgalos's zone, Jorge Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Delgado came out of the goal and Jorge Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Brás blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Delgado having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Abel Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vilas's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Paulo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vilas's Jorge Cardoso in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Masgalos's goalie prevented a goal.
