After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Gaspar Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Casevel's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Borba in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Maya FC's Miguel Viegas got a free kick in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Rogério Martins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Garcia. Rogério Martins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bernardo Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Miguel Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Garcia having to interfere. A hard shot 31 in the game by Bernardo Coimbra from a close distance when the talented Miguel Garcia managed to make a qualified save. SC Casevel's players were relieved. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maya FC's goalkeeper Fernando Miranda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Maya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Leão came free, but Fernando Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maya FC's zone, Gaspar Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Miranda came out of the goal and Gaspar Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Aleixo's late challenge caught a SC Casevel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Aleixo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maya FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Miguel Viegas hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, SC Casevel's António Amorim broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 44th minute, Gaspar Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half SC Casevel were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Borba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Casevel booed when Maya FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 54th minute, when SC Casevel's Sérgio Machado after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Fernando Miranda in Maya FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Gaspar Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Miranda having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Mariano Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maya FC and the SC Casevel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Maya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Brito to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Borba struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Fernando Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Casevel. Joaquim Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Miranda having to interfere. Miguel Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Martins in the 96th minute of play. The Maya FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Casevel's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Casevel.
