Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luís Veiga kicked off to start the match. Vicente Ramos in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gil Branco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Sorico FC's zone, Joel Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Branco came out of the goal and Joel Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Miragaia booed when Sorico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Rodrigues in the 11th minute of play forced Sorico FC's goalkeeper Gil Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Rodrigues in the 12th minute of the match. During the 22nd minute of the match Duarte Fontes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Duarte Fontes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Sorico FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Duarte Fontes hit a great ball. Lourenço Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Borges having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Rodrigues in the 31st minute of play forced Sorico FC's goalkeeper Gil Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Gonçalo Pacheco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Fontes's late challenge caught a Miragaia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sorico FC's Armando Fontes got a free kick in the 37th minute. Joel Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gil Branco came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Ramos got free with Gil Branco in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Rodrigues to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Miragaia's Vicente Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Branco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Vicente Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Branco having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Miragaia's Gonçalo Pacheco got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lourenço Sá struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Gil Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorico FC. After a defensive mix-up in Miragaia's zone, Lourenço Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Borges came out of the goal and Lourenço Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ramos in the 66th minute of the match. Vicente Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gil Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Guarda during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. António Guarda hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Lourenço Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miragaia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
