When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Joel Rodrigues put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Henrique Valente. Joel Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Henrique Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Joel Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cândido Moutinho hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Vicente Ramos struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Henrique Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miragaia. Fernando Guerreiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Gil Borges skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Miragaia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gonçalo Pacheco hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, António Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Vicente Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Macedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henrique Valente. Goja's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vicente Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miragaia's Vicente Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Joel Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrique Valente. Goja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 39 minutes into the game, Tomás Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miragaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goja the free kick. Tomás Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Miragaia's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Gueifão came free, but Gil Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Fernando Guerreiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Borges was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Rodrigues to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Joel Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henrique Valente. Joel Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Fernandes during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Miragaia's André Fernandes got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Miragaia's zone, Duarte Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Borges came out of the goal and Duarte Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Almeida's late challenge caught a Goja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Miragaia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Lucas Almeida hit a great ball. Joel Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Henrique Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Henrique Valente made a huge save. In the 69th match minute, Miragaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Sá to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes, Goja's Daniel Domingues shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goja reached it. Miragaia's Gil Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Gueifão in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute, António Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Guerreiro in the 80th minute of play forced Miragaia's goalkeeper Gil Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Ramos in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henrique Valente, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 84th minute of the match, Joel Rodrigues tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henrique Valente saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Joel Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miragaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Vicente Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Valente having to interfere. Henrique Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Rodrigues in the 94th minute of the match. Vicente Ramos scored 1-5 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Valente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Miragaia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Goja.
