Daniel Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sorico FC's Gil Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Sorico FC from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute, Inácio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Lampreia getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Daniel Domingues hit a great ball. Albertino Amorim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Gil Branco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Luís Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sorico FC's Armando Fontes got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Armando Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sorico FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Lampreia the free kick. 34 minutes into the match, Sorico FC's goalkeeper Gil Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertino Amorim. Albertino Amorim in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gil Branco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 40th minute Daniel Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes of play Sorico FC's Gil Reis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 49 played minutes Sorico FC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Reis. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lourenço Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Lampreia's Luís Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save SC Lampreia from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Daniel Domingues notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sorico FC's Gil Branco. Gil Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Hélder Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Lampreia's protests and gave Hélder Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. Hélder Figueiredo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Albertino Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SC Lampreia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Amorim couldn't finish the play. Lourenço Sá struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Luís Moniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorico FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Inácio Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Soares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gil Branco. Sorico FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albertino Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gil Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sorico FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
