Nuno Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Lisboa in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Cabral saved SC Brenha from getting behind. Vicente Reis struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Luís Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Brenha. After 24 minutes, Duarte Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pedralgo and the SC Brenha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Pedralgo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! The referee gave SC Brenha a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafael Trindade, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Pedralgo's Luís Veiga. 0-2. In the 40th minute of the match Mariano Fontes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Veiga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SC Brenha's Jorge Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fábio Lisboa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, SC Pedralgo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jorge Pinho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Pinho got free with Luís Veiga in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of SC Brenha booed when SC Pedralgo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Miguel Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pedralgo's protests and gave Miguel Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. Simão Lima's late challenge caught a SC Pedralgo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Veiga having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Lourenço Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Brenha's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Fábio Lisboa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Cabral. SC Brenha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fábio Lisboa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Luís Veiga made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Pedro Ferro sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Vicente Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The SC Brenha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
