The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Ricardo Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barqueira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morincheira FC the free kick. The supporters of Morincheira FC booed when Barqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Morincheira FC's Oliveira Oliveira got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Lourenço Vale fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morincheira FC's protests and gave Lourenço Vale a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Lourenço Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With splendid footwork Diogo Lisboa arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 13th minute. António Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliveira Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Daniel Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Ramos was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Daniel Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morincheira FC's Adelino Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Lisboa in the 38th minute of play. Lourenço Vale hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morincheira FC's goalkeeper Adelino Valente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. António Ramos was a little too slow when Daniel Abreu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliveira Oliveira got free with António Ramos in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Barqueira's José Amorim got a free kick in the 57th minute. Oliveira Oliveiras short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got António Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oliveira Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barqueira's zone, Daniel Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Ramos came out of the goal and Daniel Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
