An unexpectedly hard shot by António Paredes in the 5th minute of play forced SC Agracoes's goalkeeper Marco Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, António Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Aguiar. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 15th match minute, SC Darque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SC Agracoes's Cristiano Figueiredo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Tiago Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Jorge Moniz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Figueiredo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. SC Agracoes's Marco Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Paredes in the 32nd minute of play. Tiago Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tiago Branco fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Darque's protests and gave Tiago Branco a yellow card for diving instead. Jorge Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Tiago Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Cristiano Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. Marco Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Adolfo Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Agracoes's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, SC Darque's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Figueiredo came free, but Jorge Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tiago Branco came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SC Darque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Branco couldn't finish the play. Manuel Veiga hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Tiago Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, SC Agracoes's Rui Costa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Darque's zone, Manuel Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Moniz came out of the goal and Manuel Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SC Darque's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
