Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Catarino Pacheco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Amadeu Azevedo's late challenge caught a SC Safira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Merelo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Safira:s goal. The goalkeeper, Abel Dias, was totally fooled by SC Safira's Alexandre Campos, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Adolfo Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. José Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Pacheco in the 30th minute of the match. Domingos Viegas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Abel Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Safira. Abel Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Pacheco in the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Safira's zone, Rui Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Faria came out of the goal and Rui Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Morais to make the kick off. Emanuel Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Domingos Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Melo's late challenge caught a Merelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Melo helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes SC Safira got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Melo. The supporters of SC Safira booed when Merelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes, SC Safira's Alexandre Campos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Safira reached it. When Catarino Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SC Safira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Pacheco couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Catarino Pacheco in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Dias saved Merelo from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Domingos Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Safira's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Viegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Mário Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Domingos Viegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merelo's Abel Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Rui Macedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. José Faria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
